Our Team

Pastor Matt Whitehead has served in a number of roles during his 40 years of ministry in the Free Methodist Church (local church pastor, conference superintendent, and bishop). Matt & Melanie have been married 43 years and are the parents of two adult daughters. They are the proud grandparents of 3 grandsons. Matt currently serves on the teaching team at their home church in Seattle, Ballard Church. Matt loves the local church and says he is privileged to come along side Journey Church during this season of transition.

Brenna serves as the Office Manger and bookkeeper at Journey Church. She was born in Moses Lake where she met her husband Denny. They have three boys together. She attended BigBend Community College and has worked in the Moses Lake area most her adult life. She loves spending time with her family, being a mother, and helping others. Brenna also enjoys traveling, being outdoors, sports, a good movie.

Ciela was born and raised in Moses Lake. She is a wife to Brent and a mother of four to (Jaxton, Greyson, Sawyer and Wrenley). She has her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education and loves spending time with her family. She has a passion for watching young children grow up with a love for Jesus. Ciela also loves walks with her boys, Red Bull Italian sodas and the summertime

Sherri is a lifetime resident of Moses Lake. Sherri works at Alsted Real Estate and has been there since 1992. She is married to Greg Kasparek, who is also a Realtor. They raise sheep to sell to local kids for 4H/FFA projects. They enjoy camping, horseback riding and fishing. Sherri has a hobby shop at Attic Shops in Moses Lake called Desert Beads where she makes handcrafted jewelry and sells antiques and collectibles. Greg and Sherri have four children. She loves leading the Hospitality Team and helping people feel welcome by feeding them!
